Meet Ken Majmudar

On stage, on air, in print.

I work across stages, podcasts, video, and print on the principles that drive long-term compounding — drawn from thirty-plus years of practicing them at Ridgewood. The format changes. The substance does not.

Ken's Speaking Topics

Four areas. Three decades in each

Value Investing

Three decades of practicing the discipline of Buffett, Graham, Fisher, and Munger — applied through multiple market cycles. Covers what great capital allocators actually do, the margin-of-safety mindset, and why timeless principles still hold in markets reshaped by AI.

Long-Term Compounding

The single most underestimated force in capital, in businesses, and in lives. Covers why patience is the most reliable competitive advantage left in markets, why architecture beats willpower in wealth design, and what true wealth actually looks like on a thirty-year horizon.

Alternative Investments

Where the discipline of value investing meets new opportunity sets. Covers the India Growth Story (drawn from Ken’s work as Co-Founder of Dharohar Capital Partners), private markets, and digital assets evaluated through a long-term capital-allocation lens.

Entrepreneurship & Building

Lessons from founding and operating multiple ventures while continuing to invest at scale. Covers capital allocation as a founder, building companies and communities that compound over decades, and the long-game mindset that separates builders who last.

Meet Ken Majmudar

About Ken.

Kaushal “Ken” Majmudar, CFA, is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ridgewood Investments, a fee-only fiduciary wealth management firm managing over $400 million for client families across the United States. A Harvard Law and Columbia graduate, Ken began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, where he advised Fortune 1000 companies on IPOs, mergers, and corporate finance. He then spent six years at a hedge fund covering small-cap equities before founding Ridgewood in 2002 to apply the principles of Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, and Philip Fisher to long-term wealth management for serious investors.

Beyond Ridgewood, Ken is Co-Founder of Dharohar Capital Partners (an India-focused investment partnership), Founder of Capital Alliance (an invite-only community for serious investors), and host of the Capital Alliance Podcast. He writes the Compound Ideas Substack, contributed the chapter “Four Timeless Principles of Intelligent Investing” to Create the Business Breakthrough You Want (Mission Publishing, 2004), and has a forthcoming book on building wealth that lasts.

Ken is a CFA charterholder, an active member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and Collective Genius, and has attended every Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting since 2002 — eighteen consecutively as of 2026.
